This lecture addresses adulthood as a period that is surprisingly rarely discussed, even though it defines our everyday decisions, expectations, and internal crises. Adulthood is usually spoken of as if it is already a clear and definitively shaped stage of life. But in reality, it often remains the most obscure and poorly described. Childhood and old age have clear cultural images, while the adult often finds themselves in a blind spot - between social expectations, personal experience, and changing societal norms. This lecture offers a close examination of this very period. The lecture is part of the public program of an exhibition dedicated to age boundaries and continues its research line. Here, adulthood will be considered not as a formal age status, but as a complex trajectory of living, dependent on culture, social environment, and ways of self-definition. The focus will be on questions about who is considered an adult, what criteria operate in modern Russia, and how this stage is experienced in real life.
