About

The series about the wives of the Decembrists will continue with a discussion about Natalia Dmitrievna Fonvizin. The fate of Natalia Fonvizin has become part of the great Russian culture. The story of Fonvizin is interesting in that alongside her name, Pushkin, Dostoevsky, and Tolstoy inevitably arise. Contemporaries saw a resemblance between Natalia Dmitrievna and Tatiana Larina, and she herself believed that it was from her that the poet wrote his heroine. Fyodor Dostoevsky called Fonvizin an angel in the flesh, and researchers associate her with the image of Sonia Marmeladova. Leo Tolstoy, according to specialists, was also inspired by the image of Fonvizin. The lecture will be conducted by Y. V. Nikolaeva, head of the rare book and memorial work department. Where to go in Moscow is known by KudaGo.
