Mikhail Yezdakoff's lecture will unveil the behind-the-scenes of wildlife photography: from finding the animal and composing the shot to the techniques, patience, and ethics of working in nature. Wildlife rarely poses for humans. To photograph a beast, one must understand its behavior, feel the landscape, be able to wait, and press the button at the right moment. Mikhail Yezdakoff will discuss what is important in the process of wildlife photography: careful observation, technical skills, respect for the animal and the place it lives. Wildlife photography is a process that requires preparation, patience, and precision. Attendees will learn how to search for an animal, read the signs of its presence, choose a shooting point, and build a composition so that the shot is expressive but does not disrupt the natural flow of life around. A separate part will be dedicated to technique. We will talk about what equipment helps work in the field. But good photography is not limited to lenses and camera settings: it is important for the photographer to understand the limits of what is acceptable, not to harm animals, not to destroy the environment, and not to turn a rare encounter into a chase for an impressive image. The meeting will be suitable for both beginner and experienced photographers, nature walk enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to look more closely at Russian nature.
