The lecturer will share not only archival facts but also personal impressions from the expedition to the places where history was made. The literary cycle "Pushkin Readings - 2025" will continue with the lecture "We Are Proud of Our Fate!..", dedicated to the heroic fates of the Decembrists after the uprising on Senate Square. How did people condemned to Siberian exile live and love? What significance did these fates have for Russian history and culture? The lecture will be conducted by Ekaterina Dobrovolskaya - a guide at the All-Russian Pushkin Museum. She will not only talk about the events but also show personal photographs taken in the summer of 2025 during the expedition through Siberia and Transbaikalia - following the traces of the exiled Decembrists.
