About

Even with objective successes, the feeling that you are not doing enough and will soon be "found out" may linger. This meeting is dedicated to the internal reasons for such a state and ways to regain self-confidence. Many face a situation where efforts yield results, but there is no satisfaction from them. Instead, doubt in one's competence arises, a habit of comparing oneself to others, and a feeling that one's worth must be constantly proven. Most often, the source of these feelings is not real mistakes, but a harsh inner voice that tends to devalue achievements and push towards self-criticism. The meeting will thoroughly discuss how impostor syndrome is formed, why comparison with others becomes a method of self-assessment, and what prevents one from feeling inner stability. Participants will talk about the mechanisms of guilt and shame, where they come from, and how they affect self-perception. The program also includes a small practical exercise that will help temporarily "stand on your side," better feel your own support, and regain contact with personal value. The meeting is led by practicing psychologist, emotional-image therapist, and specialist in working with anxiety states, Anastasia Emelyanova. Register here. Where to go in St. Petersburg will be told by KUDAGO.
