About

The "Komyabr" challenge is a chance to stop fearing the blank page and draw your own comic. Attendees of the lecture will discover the secrets of short plots and smart storyboarding and learn how to fit a story into 31 frames. Drawing a comic may seem like a daunting task, but breaking it down into small steps makes the goal achievable. The organizer of the challenge, comic artist Yulia Kanunnikova (SalemaRu), will share useful tips: how to start a short plot, how not to stretch it indefinitely, and how to properly divide the story into frames. Attendees will learn how to come up with an idea that lasts exactly 31 days, what mistakes beginner authors often make, and why limitations can become the main creative push. The meeting will help clarify the subtle art of reduction: what to leave out of the frame and what is important to keep. All recommendations are accompanied by practical examples and working tools that can be applied immediately. The "Komyabr" challenge is an opportunity to become part of a community of like-minded individuals: authors publish their works one frame a day on social media and receive feedback. This is a powerful motivation not to give up halfway and to bring their comic to completion. The meeting is suitable for both beginners and those who have already tried drawing stories. KudaGo features the current program in Moscow.
