Vladimir Mayakovsky always acknowledged the influence of American films on the formation of his cinematic thinking. In his articles and statements on Soviet cinema, he repeatedly referred to the creative practices of American directors. His poems and screenplays contain images of Charlie Chaplin, Max Linder, and other iconic actors. The lecture is dedicated to the influence of American cinema on Mayakovsky, especially in the context of his trip to the USA in 1925.
