In an era when emotions are increasingly packaged in emojis and disappearing messages, preserving and understanding the essence of these intimate messages becomes more complex and interesting. This topic is dedicated to the third meeting within the "History and Anthropology" club, organized in collaboration with the DH Center of ITMO. At the lecture, researcher and editor Vika Bordukova will share her experience in analyzing letters as cultural and historical documents. The journey of a love letter will be examined from handwritten envelope to punch card, from paper trace to digital chat. What stories are hidden in old letters? What is their fate in modern archives and online exhibitions? What happens to sensuality when it enters the space of the internet and databases?
