What did cozy evenings look like 100 years ago? A literary and musical evening at the Losev House will tell about old forms of leisure - from home music-making to shadow theater. The lecture-concert "Old Pastimes" invites you on a journey through the cultural habits of the past. It is an evening of nostalgia and discoveries, where we will talk about how people in the 19th century spent their free time - in the atmosphere of lamp light, books, watercolors, the sound of the piano, and leisurely conversations. The program includes literary and musical fragments that create the image of old evenings. Works by Tchaikovsky, Taneyev, Delibes, Debussy, Strauss, Rachmaninoff, as well as poems by Hugo, Rilke, Pasternak, Akhmatova, Sasha Black, and others will be performed. All this will be accompanied by a narrative about what forms of leisure were popular in the past - from reading and home theater to card games and chess.
