The history of Pushkin's texts will be examined through their literary fate: from the first publications to later scientific commentaries. Participants will learn how the perception of Pushkin's works has changed, what manuscript variants provide researchers, and why the history of the book helps to read familiar lines more accurately and notice hidden details. The main topic of the session will be the editions of Alexander Pushkin's works. Participants will discover how collections of his works were formed, which texts were included in them at different periods, and why working with the author's manuscripts remains important for philologists and commentators. Special attention will be given to the cultural-historical background and intertextual connections. Comparing versions and interpretations helps to understand why the same Pushkin text can reveal itself anew after decades and even centuries. The lecture will be led by cultural scholar S. V.
