Once, this path was one of the main roads of Russia: goods were transported along it, mail was sent, and people traveled. The lecture will discuss how an ordinary road gradually became a full-fledged highway with developed infrastructure. Listeners will learn about the role of diligences, why post stations were an important part of the route, and how inns and restaurants for travelers appeared along the tract. Special attention will be paid to the lives of people connected with this road.
