In the lecture "The Historical Novel in History" - part of the series of meetings of the "History and Anthropology" club - guests will explore how the chaos of revolutions and wars in the 19th century gave rise to texts that still shape our perception of the past. Walter Scott and his "Ivanhoe" became symbols of the birth of the historical novel. Stories about medieval knights, ancient battles, and kings proved to be in demand among the youth of Europe, who were seeking support in the past. It was then that the first national myths were created with the help of artistic words.
