The meeting will help to understand how aphorisms and catchphrases are born. An aphorism seems like a momentary flash of thought, but behind its ease often lies precise work with form. A short phrase is remembered not by chance: rhythm, contrast, imagery, unexpected connections of meanings, and the ability to leave the unnecessary outside the text are all important. At the meeting, participants will analyze how such statements are structured and will try to create their own. The session will combine a lecture part and creative writing practice. The session will be conducted by Boris Sudakov and Nina Freiman. Find other events in Saint Petersburg on KUDAGO.
