Clichés are found in every text - from advertising slogans to love novels. But are they always the enemies of originality? Clichés are stable constructions that are firmly woven into the language. How to work with them so as not to fall into banality, but also not to deprive the text of the necessary expressiveness? These questions will form the basis of the lecture and workshop within the framework of the "Writing and Text" club. In the lecture, you will learn about the different types of clichés (genre, semantic, speech), how to identify them, and understand their functions in the text. In the practical part of the workshop, participants will be able to try their hand at reworking clichés and uncovering their authorial voice.
