Japanese culture is steeped in ancient tales and legends. Participants will explore folklore together with art historian Aseya Zanegina. Listeners will get acquainted with the kaidan genre, analyze the plots of scary stories, and learn about the most famous mythical creatures: the spider bride, the iron rat, the fox fires, the Blue Monk, and the hairy seductress.
