About

How did the Hollywood we know today come to be? Dive into the era of silent films and the first screen stars. The meeting is dedicated to Hollywood in the 1920s - a time when many elements were formed that are hard to imagine American cinema without today. It was then that the famous Hollywood sign appeared on the hills, the first handprints and footprints of movie stars were created, and the genre system began to take on familiar shapes. Special attention will be given to silent comedy - one of the most popular and inventive genres of that time. From Mack Sennett's short films, the genre gradually grew into a full-fledged screen art, reaching its peak in the works of Harold Lloyd, Buster Keaton, and Charlie Chaplin. Don't forget to register for the meeting. We know what to see in St. Petersburg.
