In Ruslan Bogatyryov's lecture, an expert from the National Heritage Committee, the discussion will focus on how Gogol influenced Yesenin's creative evolution. Special attention will be given to the poem 'Black Man' - one of Yesenin's most mysterious works. The lecturer will offer new interpretations of this text and will also explore possible connections between the content of the poem and the circumstances of the poet's death. Listeners will learn about key motifs that recur in the works of Gogol and Yesenin, and about hidden meanings that may bring them closer than is commonly believed.
