A bold attempt to look at the inner world of Fyodor Dostoevsky from the perspective of modern psychology. The first part of the lecture will be conducted by Yegor Sartakov, an associate professor at the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University. This part will focus on analyzing Dostoevsky's personality from a literary scholar's perspective. Participants will learn why the writer is called "the psychologist of Russian literature," what lies behind the legends of his first novel, what personal dramas the writer experienced, and how gambling became an attempt to cope with internal crises. The second part of the lecture is psychological. It will be conducted by Irina Vasilieva, a specialist in psychosomatics and trauma therapist. Together with her, listeners will look into Dostoevsky's childhood, discuss the influence of family on his development, and try to determine the writer's personality type. Guests will be able to imagine themselves in the role of a psychotherapist sitting across from Fyodor Mikhailovich himself and think through a strategy for interacting with such a client.
