Sometimes it seems that Fyodor Dostoevsky is a monument from the school curriculum, but once you open his personal records, a living person emerges behind the well-known figure. The lecture "Dossier on the Author: Dostoevsky and His Diary" offers just such a perspective - close, uneven, human. At the center of the conversation are the writer's diary texts and his reflections on time, faith, fears, and literature, collected in The Writer's Diary. The lecture becomes not an analysis of biography, but a reading aloud of an internal dialogue: where doubt coexists with sharpness, and observance - with pain. Leading this conversation will be Sergey Valyugin, a lecturer who knows how to talk about classics without museum dust and academic pressure. He presents Dostoevsky as a person reacting to news, disputes, and his own texts here and now.
