About

Can one be happy without understanding their feelings? The author of the lecture, Angelika Zubova, invites us to explore the nature of emotional intelligence through the images of the Dashwood sisters from Jane Austen's novel. How often are we advised to "listen to our heart" or "stay cool-headed"? These opposing attitudes shape how we experience emotions, build relationships, and make decisions. However, neither extreme provides a complete picture. The lecturer will discuss the diagnosis of "alexithymia" - when a person is unable to recognize and express emotions. This condition affects personal boundaries, partner choices, career, and everyday resilience. Jane Austen's novel will help to understand how sensitivity and rationality manifest in life, and what happens when one of the vectors begins to dominate. The lecture is led by Angelika Zubova - a medical and child neuropsychologist, researcher of emotional intelligence, and stand-up comedian. KudaGo presents the current program for Moscow.
