About

A lecture on what prevents an adult from learning effectively and how the brain responds to new tasks. Participants will explore the influence of stress, multitasking, and distractions, learn ways to make the educational process more productive and clearer, and reconsider the traditional approach to acquiring knowledge. Adult learning is very different from children's learning: a person already has experience, habits, professional tasks, and many factors that can affect the ability to perceive new information. The modern pace of life forces us to constantly acquire new skills, but sometimes the peculiarities of brain function become obstacles on this path. At the meeting, participants will discuss what processes occur during learning and why attention concentration becomes one of the main difficulties. Special attention will be given to the influence of stress, fatigue, and constant task-switching. These factors can reduce the effectiveness of memorization and hinder deep understanding of the material. The poster for St. Petersburg is available on KUDAGO.
