About

Oleg Khlobustov's lecture will delve into the behind-the-scenes of secret operations and ultra-secret plans implemented in Moscow during the Great Patriotic War. When the guns roared at the approaches to Moscow and German troops prepared for an assault, the city was also engaged in an invisible struggle. Soviet intelligence services began implementing a plan that could change the outcome of the capital's defense. The ultra-secret "Moscow Plan" was developed in an atmosphere of full combat readiness and extreme tension. It included not only protection against sabotage but also active resistance to the intelligence activities of German security services. Information, routes, underground groups, agent infiltration - all of this was part of a colossal effort to ensure the safety of Moscow during the critical months from June 1941 to April 1942. The implementation of the "Moscow Plan" involved not only Chekists but also ordinary residents of the city, willing to risk their lives for a common victory. Oleg Khlobustov - a retired state security colonel, historian of intelligence services, and member of the Union of Writers of Russia - will share details about this period. Listeners will learn about the sabotage activities of Nazi agents, the methods of counteraction used, and why the cohesion of society became a key factor in saving the city.
