About

A practical course for those who are just starting to get acquainted with the Japanese language. Participants will study hiragana and katakana, try to form simple phrases, and practice polite expressions. The course is designed for those who are learning Japanese "from scratch." Together with the instructor, students will practice writing kanji, memorize sounds, and try to assemble simple syllables. A separate block is dedicated to grammar and basic communication. Participants will analyze the structure of simple sentences, and the first "framework" phrases will appear, onto which new words can be "strung." Participants will try different greeting options, learn to introduce themselves, ask for their interlocutor's name, and maintain a small dialogue. All of this is presented through real-life situations: introductions in the classroom, meetings in a café, conversations with a new classmate. The course is led by Vladislav Kukovich, a graduate of the Faculty of International Relations at MGIMO, who works extensively with beginner students. He explains the nuances of speech etiquette, comments on intonations, and shows how the same word can sound differently in formal and informal settings. The course is suitable for teenagers and adults interested in Japanese culture, anime, and travel. Entertainment in Moscow is gathered on our website.
