The sailing trip begins long before getting on the water - with understanding the vessel, the wind, the equipment, and basic sailing skills. The class will cover the structure of the yacht, the operation of the sails, and routes for leisure in the Moscow region. This course helps to approach yachting without unnecessary romanticization: to understand what a sailing vessel consists of, what one needs to know before the first training, and why the wind becomes a partner only for those who know how to work with it. Participants will learn how to rig a sailing yacht, which elements are important on board, and how sail management works. Special attention will be given to tying nautical knots - a skill that is hard to imagine life on the water without. The conversation will revolve around basic questions for beginners: how to catch the wind, what happens to the boat when changing course, why different rigging is needed, and what mistakes people often make when they first find themselves near a sail. At the end of the class, participants will have the opportunity to talk to the instructor and ask questions. The class is suitable for those who have been eyeing yachting for a long time, dream of trying leisure under sails, or want to understand how close this direction is to them. Ideas on where to go in Moscow are collected on our website.
