An evening with musicAeterna and Teodor Currentzis will gather the music of Jean-Philippe Rameau from several operas into one rich program. Here, the brilliance of French Baroque, the large choral sound, and the rare stage energy are important, which is born even without a full production, when the orchestra, choir, and voices lead the listener through the world of 18th-century theater. The evening is built around the music of Jean-Philippe Rameau - a composer whose operas rarely appear in the Russian program in such volume and with such a performing ensemble. The program is assembled from vocal and orchestral numbers from several works: "The Galant Indians", "Castor and Pollux", "Festivities of Hebe, or Lyric Gifts", "Platée, or The Jealous Juno", "Zaïs", "Zoroastre", and "Boreades". This format allows us to see Rameau not just as the author of one famous title, but as a master of musical theater with a vast range of colors, characters, and moods. For the listener, this is especially valuable because the music of the French Baroque requires precision, flexibility, and a sense of style.
