One of the most concentrated works of Sergei Rachmaninoff will be presented by the St. Petersburg Chapel Choir. In the "All-Night Vigil," prayerful depth, inner strength, and enchanting beauty of sound come together. In anticipation of Easter, the St. Petersburg Chapel Choir under the direction of Ilya Derbilov invites you to hear one of the most significant choral works of Sergei Rachmaninoff. The piece occupies a special place in Russian academic music. It reflects both the connection to ancient church tradition and Rachmaninoff's broad melodic scope, as well as a delicate handling of choral texture. The "All-Night Vigil" is performed by a mixed choir a cappella.
