The program unites key works by 20th-century avant-garde composers and shows how the perception of academic music has changed. Some compositions will be performed for the first time in Moscow. The Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble turns to works that marked the beginning of the rethinking of the musical language of the past century. The focus is on compositions by Luigi Nono, Beat Furrer, Fausto Romitelli, Pierre Boulez, György Ligeti, and Tristan Murail. Some of them will be heard for the first time by the Moscow audience. The concert is structured as a kind of anthology of musical avant-garde. It consists of chamber and solo pieces for flute, violin, cello, piano, and ensemble.
