This evening will bring together Baroque Italy in all its rich colors - from the vibrant energy of orchestral pages to the solemn radiance of Gloria. String plasticity, choral expansiveness, and the voices of soloists will unite in a program where the music of Vivaldi and his contemporaries sounds bright, festive, and truly alive. Italian Baroque rarely unfolds so multifaceted as in this program. Here, orchestral sharpness, choral solemnity, and the beauty of solo voices are combined, with the music of Antonio Vivaldi - a composer whose name has long become a symbol of temperament, clarity of form, and infectious melodic energy - at the center of the evening. Performed by the State Chamber Orchestra 'Virtuosos of Moscow', the 'Masters of Choral Singing' choir, and soloists, the program promises to showcase not only the brilliance of the familiar Baroque style but also its internal diversity. The first part of the evening is dedicated to instrumental Italy. Vivaldi's Concerto for Orchestra in G minor allows one to feel his love for contrast, precise rhythm, and expressive movement of form. Alongside it, pages by Corelli and Donizetti resonate, helping to broaden the view of the tradition of Italian music for strings. These are compositions where the flexibility of phrasing, nobility of sound, and that special sense of stage presence arise even without theatrical action.
