The new program of the "Northern Venice" orchestra will include popular works by Astor Piazzolla and other composers written in the tango genre. The white hall of the "Petersburg Artist" center will be filled with passionate rhythms, poignant melodies, and trembling pauses: the concert of the "Northern Venice" orchestra will be dedicated to tango. The ensemble will perform famous compositions by Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla, including "Libertango", "Oblivion", "Goodbye, Nonino". Works by Piazzolla's contemporaries, Carlos Gardel and Jacob Gade, as well as the Spanish composer from the second half of the 19th century, Isaac Albéniz, will also be featured. The concert will be conducted by the conductor and artistic director of the orchestra, Eduard Tomsha. He will talk about each piece in the program and introduce the audience to the characteristics of the composers' styles.
