A musical journey where familiar fairy tale plots come to life in the sounds of the piano and organ. Works by Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Lyadov, Saint-Saëns, and other composers transform into little stories that are understandable to children and touch adults, reminding them of their own childhood fairy tales. Fairy tales are easiest to remember not by their titles, but by feelings: that scary story before bed, the funny tale of the clumsy bear, the quiet whisper by the nightlight. In this program, all such impressions return - only instead of the narrator's voice, the piano and organ sound, and familiar plots come together in a large musical album for children and adults. At the piano is Daria Kameneva, a pianist who feels confident both on the competition stage and in a chamber hall, where every breath in the audience matters. The organ supports with a couple of phrases by Natalia Uzhvi: her experience working in European churches and participation in organist academies is heard in her confident delivery, precise colors of registration, and ability to build tension without unnecessary gestures. Together they create a rare combination: the coziness of home music-making and the scale of concert sound. At the center of the program are pieces that easily form into lively illustrations. In Schumann's works, there are either "fables" or "forest scenes" with magical birds and mysterious figures. In Tchaikovsky's, there are nanny's tales, the fearsome Baba Yaga, and pages from late cycles where childhood impressions are reinterpreted through an adult's gaze. The pieces by Lyadov, Shostakovich, Saint-Saëns, and other composers help to see in short miniatures both playfulness and a light sadness, as well as festive anticipation. A special detail is the video projection of paintings by Russian and Western European artists. While the music plays, characters from fairy tales, forest paths, mythical creatures, and familiar scenes from books appear on the screen. It is easier for a child to maintain attention when the auditory experience is connected to a visual image, and an adult finds it interesting to compare painting and musical intonations.
