Tal Babitsky returns to St. Petersburg with a new chamber concert. An Israeli composer, pianist, and singer, author of ten albums, he easily transitions from transparent lyrics to dynamic improvisations, building an almost personal conversation with the audience each time. His pieces echo classical jazz, modernism, and neoclassicism, with soft bluesy intonations and Eastern melodic lines. This mixture sounds remarkably cohesive: instead of dark drama - light, warm humor, a sense of inner freedom and hope. Tal's music seems to invite listeners to briefly hide from the news and urban hustle, just to be in the moment. A year ago, his solo concert at the Small Synagogue in St. Petersburg was a true event: the hall was full, the audience kept the musician on stage for a long time and called for encores three times. The new evening promises no less emotional intensity - especially since this time Babitsky will take the stage in a duet with the brilliant saxophonist and flutist Mikhail Shipov.
