Works by one of the greatest composers in history, Johann Sebastian Bach, will be performed by soprano, organ, and cello. Bach's creativity represents the peak of the Baroque style in Europe and German Baroque in particular. Throughout his life, Johann Sebastian worked as a cantor in various cathedrals and created over 1000 works in all existing genres at that time, except for opera. Bach's immense legacy includes cantatas, instrumental concertos, various compositions for organ, divertissements, and much more. Bach was also an outstanding organist, winning in popular virtuoso competitions of his time and improvising brilliantly. However, after Bach's passing, his music was hardly performed. The German composer, organist, and conductor of the 19th century, Felix Mendelssohn, rediscovered Bach for a wider audience. Since then, Bach's music has been heard all over the globe, and interest in it continues to grow. The program will be performed by Tatyana Lanskaya (soprano), Pavel Glazyrin (cello), and Irina Rozanova (organ).
