The concert of the soloists of the Saint Petersburg House of Music will bring together young talents and stars of the Mariinsky Theatre orchestra on one stage. The evening will offer a rare combination of instruments - from marimba to clarinet - and will unveil the emotional facets of works by Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Razaouro, and Khachaturian. One of the brightest events of the autumn will take place on the stage of the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall - the concert of the soloists of the Saint Petersburg House of Music. The unique program will combine performances by young talents and the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Igor Manasherov. The evening will open with Dmitri Shostakovich's "Festive Overture" - an energetic, ceremonial piece that instantly captivates the listener. Following that, three solo concertos will be performed, each representing an independent musical world. Clarinetist Nikita Lyutikov will perform the Clarinet Concerto with orchestra by Boris Tchaikovsky - a composition that intertwines elegance and drama. Andrey Taranukha will present Concerto No. 1 for marimba by Ney Razaouro - a piece with a distinctly Latin American expressiveness, rarely heard in Russian halls.
