The musical program "Glory to Catherine or Reflections of the Gallant Age" will unite vocal masterpieces dedicated to the era of Catherine II. Accompanied by a chamber orchestra, rare arias, romances, hymns, and folk melodies will be performed, complemented by dances of the 18th century and historical context. Under the direction of Timofey Antropov, the Holy Nicholas Chamber Orchestra will perform works by Russian and European composers that reflect the spirit and style of Catherine II's reign. Among them are "The Thunder of Victory Resound" by Osip Kozlovsky, which became a musical symbol of that time, "How Glorious is Our Lord in Zion" by Dmitry Bortnyansky, arias from the operas of Mozart and Pashkevich, romances to the verses of Derzhavin, fragments from "The Queen of Spades" by Tchaikovsky, and instrumental gems of the classical era.
