The penetrating voice of the duduk, the sound of the oud strings, and the majestic organ will merge with the paintings of Nikolai Roerich. Roerich was a man of multifaceted talent, a philosopher, researcher, traveler, and artist who created around 7000 paintings. In them, he celebrated Ancient Rus, the traditions of the East, and the grandeur of the Himalayas. His paintings are characterized by a bright, rich palette and a play of light and shadow. He considered Arkhip Kuindzhi his teacher. At the concert under the arches of Petrikirche, Roerich's paintings will be projected onto the walls of Petrikirche accompanied by the sounds of very different but beautifully harmonizing instruments. The program of Armenian melodies will be performed by Olga Kotlyarova (organ), Argishti (duduk, oud), and Dmitry Orlov (percussion). To learn more details, click the "Buy Ticket" button.
