An unusual duet will perform music filled with light and joy. Can such different instruments as the harp and saxophone sound together? The musicians are sure they can, as true music knows no boundaries. Moreover, these instruments are not as far apart as they seem. The modern concert harp was designed in the early 19th century by Erard, and in 1842 Sax invented the saxophone, so they are almost contemporaries. The saxophone is typically a jazz instrument, but there are known cases of outstanding jazz performances on the harp, and on this evening, these instruments will perform classics together, bringing them even closer. The performance will feature saxophonist Yuri Tashtamirov and harpist Aidana Karasheva, with music by Caccini, Bach, Schubert, Albeniz, Debussy, Gershwin, and other composers. The program includes soprano Tatyana Lansky. To find out more details, click the "Buy Ticket" button.
