Famous soundtracks will be performed by a saxophone quartet, piano, and cajón in the CDLI hall. No cinematic masterpiece could exist without music. Only music can convey what is inherently (though invisibly) present in the frame and what we can only feel through our senses and subconscious. Try to imagine your favorite films without their musical score, and you will immediately understand how important music is. For this concert, only those soundtracks that are self-sufficient and can be performed even outside of films have been selected. Compositions by George Gershwin, Henry Mancini, Glenn Miller, Vladimir Cosma, Hans Zimmer, and other outstanding composers will be performed. The program will be performed by the Sirenes Saxophone Quartet and pianist Leonid Polev, while drummer Ilya Kucherov will add rhythmic colors with the traditional Peruvian instrument, cajón.
