An evening dedicated to the legacy of Sergey Kuryokhin will combine live electronics, improvisation, and work with rare musical equipment. A trio of St. Petersburg authors creates a stage statement at the intersection of memory, technology, and free experimentation - for those interested in sound as a process, risk, and the energy of the moment. The project is structured as a personal yet quite modern conversation with the legacy of Sergey Kuryokhin. At the center of the program is not a literal reconstruction or a collection of quotes, but an attempt to hear his ideas anew through today’s instruments, intonations, and methods of working with sound. The trio of Starshinov / Buraya / Popov relies on musical works and interviews from different years, assembling their own stage form from them, where both the memory of the artist and the courage of independent gesture are important. The main interest here is related to the method itself. The participants bet on original musical equipment and interaction with modern technologies, which means the concert turns into a laboratory where the past and present meet without museum distance. This approach is especially valuable for an audience close to the experimental scene, sound art, and electronic music that has grown from curiosity about texture, noise, analog devices, and unpredictable results. Each participant in this statement has their own role and artistic language. Igor Starshinov comes to the project with extensive experience in sound art and a practice of fully live improvised performances, where vintage drum machines and analog synthesizers create multilayered sound structures. Ksenia Buraya works with the theme of contemplation, deep listening, and the delicate organization of form, connecting sounds, ornamental structures, and attention to chance. Dmitry Popov adds to the overall fabric a sense of the electronic scene, genre mobility, and rhythm.
