The project will reveal the image of St. Petersburg through the works of contemporary composers. The "Tavrichesky" Symphony Orchestra will perform a program that combines urban history, literary plots, and personal musical expressions. St. Petersburg becomes the main character of the program, where contemporary authors refer to the city's history, its literary images, and cultural heritage. At the center of the evening are world premieres of works by Petersburg composers created specifically for this project. The "Tavrichesky" Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mikhail Golikov, will present several major compositions, each revealing a different facet of urban culture. The audience will become acquainted with the vocal-symphonic poem by Nikolai Mazhara "Oblomov in Petersburg" based on texts by Ivan Goncharov. A special place in the program will be occupied by the violin concerto with orchestra "The Bronze Horseman" by Mikhail Krutik, inspired by one of the most recognizable symbols of the Northern capital. There will also be a performance of Sergey Diaghilev's work "The Scarlet Tram. Roald Mandelstam's Journeys" for piano with orchestra and the symphonic poem "Anna" by Murat Kabardokov and Boris Berezovsky based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy. All entertainment in Petersburg is collected on KUDAGO.
