The Andreev Orchestra and soloists from the Mariinsky Theatre will present a musical statement in which the memory of the past sounds alive, deep, and without external ceremonial rhetoric. The program "Songs of Victory" performed by the State Academic Russian Orchestra named after Andreev is structured as a single musical narrative about events that influenced the country and personal destinies. Each piece becomes part of the overall dramaturgy - from inner composure and strength to quiet reflections, losses, and gratitude. At the center of attention are human stories: roads, waiting, rare moments of peace, and hope for return. At the same time, the music preserves light and love for life, conveying the feeling of a city that managed to endure in difficult times. The announced repertoire includes works by Vasily Andreev, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Matvei Blanter, Dmitri Shostakovich, Nikita Bogoslovsky, and other composers. The concert features soloists from the Mariinsky Theatre Oksana Shilova and Vadim Kravets. We share ideas on KUDAGO about where to go in St. Petersburg this weekend.
