The folk ensemble "Bisedushka" will perform rare folk songs from Moscow and the Moscow region. In the Turgenev Lounge, the folk ensemble "Bisedushka" will present a program dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of P.G. Yarkov - the organizer of the first peasant choir in the Moscow province - as well as the 20th anniversary of the ensemble itself. The program will feature authentic peasant songs from Moscow and the Moscow region, collected and carefully preserved by the ensemble members. On stage, artists who have dedicated years to studying and performing Russian folklore will perform. The artistic director of the ensemble, Anna Grechina, and the choirmaster, Alexandra Tsyganova, are not only reconstructing tradition but are also working delicately with sources, recordings, interpretations, and the recreation of living singing practices.
