Music and family chronicle will merge in an evening dedicated to the memory of Emilia Uglova-Streltsova. Her son, pianist and composer Grigory Uglov, will perform works by Beethoven and Grieg, while the presentation of the book "Uglovs. A Family of Doctors. A Century of Goodness and Love" will reveal the story of a woman who preserved her husband's legacy and her own voice. Emilia Uglova-Streltsova was alongside the surgeon and scientist Fyodor Uglov for over 40 years. Their life together coincided with decades of significant changes in domestic medicine and public life. After her husband's death, she took on the task of preserving his archive and memory, bringing attention back to a person whose professional biography has long become part of the country's history. In her last years, Emilia Viktorovna dedicated herself to writing a book about the family of doctors. The memories in it revolve around the everyday life, work, and closeness of two people connected by shared values. The author managed to see the publication completed and passed away three months later. At the meeting, the book will serve as the basis for a conversation about her own fate - usually remaining in the shadow of her famous husband. The musical part will be prepared by their son Grigory Uglov - composer, pianist, and educator. He will turn to the works of Ludwig van Beethoven and Edvard Grieg, whom his mother loved.
