The violin becomes the main character: on this evening, two concertos by Niccolò Paganini will be performed - No. 5 and the rarely played No. 3, which was long considered lost. The soloist is Gayk Kazazyan, accompanied by the State Academic Symphony Chapel. There are composers whose names become surrounded by legends, and Niccolò Paganini is one of them. His violin once seemed impossible to his contemporaries: sharp turns, dazzling passages, almost theatrical contrasts. In the chamber hall, two of his concertos for violin and orchestra will be performed - the Fifth and the Third. The Fifth is often called a monologue: the soloist has his own dramaturgy here, where lyricism and bursts of temperament alternate without warning. Mainly, the solo part has been preserved, while the orchestration was restored in the 20th century - thanks to this, today one can hear the work in its full form. The Third concerto, written in 1826, had a complicated stage fate: after the composer's death, it almost disappeared from the stage and returned to the repertoire only decades later, when musicians and researchers rediscovered the score.
