The opening of the trombone music festival gathers performers from different countries and generations in one hall. The International Trombone Music Festival named after Anatoly Tikhonovich Skobeleva has become a rare example of a project entirely dedicated to one instrument. Every year it brings together musicians, educators, and students to demonstrate how rich and flexible the trombone can be in solo parts, ensembles, and orchestral episodes. The start of the new program is traditionally given by a concert where the audience gets acquainted with the participants and sees the scale of this professional community. The festival is the only forum in Russia focused on trombone performance. Its program features concerts, master classes, and exhibition projects at various venues in Moscow.
