The violin and piano will perform a diverse program: from the baroque strictness of Bach to the sparkling fantasy of Tsymbalist. The concert reflects a whole spectrum of violin colors: from a clear baroque line to brilliant virtuosity and bold intonations of the 20th century. The program will be performed by Valeria Bogdanova (violin) and Olga Sherstennikova (piano). The concert host Alexander Kazantsev will accompany the program with brief explanations. The program will feature "Rondino" by Vieten, "Ballet Scenes" by Berio, Tsymbalist's fantasy on themes from Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "The Golden Cockerel" and other works.
