The program features vocal classics dedicated to the legacy of Ivan Kozlovsky: arias and romances will be performed by young soloists Artem Nikolaev and Arthur Teplitsky. There are singers whose art becomes a measure of style and taste. Ivan Semyonovich Kozlovsky is one of them: his vocal lightness, clear diction, and rare expressiveness still set the standard for vocalists. The program at the library-reading room refers to the tradition established by Kozlovsky and shows how it continues to live in the work of young performers. The program will be performed by tenor Artem Nikolaev, a soloist of the vocal ensemble Intrada, and baritone Arthur Teplitsky, a competition laureate. The concertmaster is Suzanna Sarkisyan. The audience will be invited to compare two approaches to expressing meanings and feelings: the transparent, sunny line of bel canto and the more restrained yet extremely expressive speech of the Russian romance.
