Toccatas, fugues, chorale preludes, and fantasies will weave a continuous narrative about the sources of the composer's inspiration and how his ideas were reflected in the music of subsequent eras and genres. The organ evening featuring Timur Khalilullin is structured as a journey through the world of Johann Sebastian Bach and those composers whose names are linked to his legacy. Instead of a dry overview of dates and titles, a living story unfolds before the listeners about how the organ tradition was formed at the intersection of the German, Italian, and late European schools. The program includes compositions known even to those who rarely attend classical music concerts. The Toccata and Fugue in D minor is perceived as a symbol of the organ's power: a tense introduction, swift passages, sharp peaks, and quiet descents into the depths of sound. Alongside are preludes, fugues, and chorale arrangements, where the strict polyphonic texture combines with inner confessional quality.
