White Nights is a time of beauty and magic. Some of the most beautiful and magical events will take place on summer evenings under the dome of Planetarium No. 1. Audiences will be greeted with the cosmic sound of the organ and a sky filled with myriads of stars. The concert combines organ music with the visual atmosphere of space, creating a unique auditory and spatial impression. While works by various composers are performed, the audience observes the dark starry sky, which is not found in summer St. Petersburg. In addition to organ music, duets featuring special guests will be performed. Among the musicians are award winners of international competitions, soloists, and guest artists from the Mariinsky Theatre and the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic. After the program concludes, guests return to the urban environment of the white nights, where the contrast between the dark hall and the bright street enhances the impression of what they have seen and heard.
