Dedicated to chart lovers: a concert program featuring ten of the best organ works of all time will be presented in St. Petersburg. Musical charts did not exist during the time of Johann Sebastian Bach, but in the modern era of various rankings and comparisons, charts have gained immense popularity. "Amadeus" once again decided to take a bold experiment and offers St. Petersburg residents their own top organ music, and even in a live concert setting under the arches of Peterkirche. The selection of the 10 most outstanding works was based on several criteria, ranging from popularity to parameters such as beauty, harmony, and virtuosity of performance. Undoubtedly, attending such a concert is one of the best ways to get acquainted with the world of organ art. Music gourmets will also find it interesting here, especially since the deep sound of the pipe organ captivates both on the first and the hundredth listen. The program will be performed by leading musicians of the city, laureates of international competitions, soloists, and guest musicians from the Mariinsky Theatre and the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic. The concert will feature Willi Peter - an organ without bellows, whose mechanism consists of nylon threads rather than wooden abstractions.
