This evening is dedicated to the music of Georg Friedrich Handel - one of the most expressive composers of the Baroque era, whose works combine grandeur, clarity, and emotional power. The program is built around Handel's organ music and offers the opportunity to hear how the organ - an instrument with a temple history - unfolds in concert form and accompanied by a chamber orchestra. Organist Daniel Salvador will present his own arrangement of the famous orchestral suite "Music for the Royal Fireworks." This piece, created at the request of King George II to celebrate peace with France in 1749, is filled with solemn fanfares, parade-like rhythms, and powerful energy, and in the organ version, it gains new colors and sounds. Additionally, the program includes five concertos for organ, strings, and basso continuo: compositions from Opuses No. 4 and No. 7, including the bright concerto in F major and the richly dramatic concerto in G minor. These works, created in different years, showcase the diversity of Baroque expressiveness: from bright, dance-like joy to strict polyphony and meditative depth. The orchestral part will be performed by the State Academic Chamber Orchestra of Russia under the direction of Alexey Utkin - a musician well-versed in Baroque style and historical performance practice.
